How to Use Sesame Seeds to Promote Optimum Health

Sesame pack some powerful benefits to your health and should definitely become a regular to the Vegan diet. Here are a few benefits you could experience when adding them to your diet.

  • The enhancement of Hair, Skin and Nails. Because Sesame Seeds provide Vitamin B which is important for many parts of your body, including your hair, skin and eyes.  These B vitamins include thiamin, niacin, folic acid, pyridoxine and riboflavin.
  • Minerals, sesame seeds are rich in the essential minerals of copper, magnesium (which can help prevent diabetes) and calcium.  It’s important that your body get’s a regular dose of these minerals as they carry many health benefits.

  • Sesame seed oil can help revent radiation damage. Sesamol has shown to reduce damage resulting from radiation. This is believed to be the result of sesamol’s antioxidant properties. There was a decrease in DNA damage percentage in lab mice in a recent study. This could be good news for patients undergoing radiation treatments for cancer. Sesamol found in sesame oil can significantly reduce DNA damage cause by radiation.
