Buckwheat Cereal

Many people are unaware of the health benefits of a delicious hot bowl of Buckwheat cereal. Buckwheat is a great protein source, promotes heart health, reduces blood-sugar and protects against cancer. It’s can have even greater benefits, topped with your favorite sauteed veggies and served with a squirt of Bragg Liquid Amino or Spike Seasoning. Enjoy!

1 ½ cups Buckwheat

2 cups water

1 teaspoon Braggs Liquid Amino

1 tablespoon non-diary margarine or olive oil

Pour the buckwheat and water into a large pot. Bring mixture to a boil and reduce the flame to low. Cook and stir as the cereal begin to thicken. The cereal should reflect a somewhat creamy texture,

so add small amounts of water as needed. The grain should be soft enough to mash between your fingers when done.   Remove from heat stirring in margarine or olive oil, as desired. Top with Liquid Amino. Serve with Veggie Gravy or Sauteed veggies.
